The inspiration for this piece came to me after awakening, the day after I had written Prayers of the Wheels. This series is devoted to designing a life according to prayer. The Holy Book is my prayer, for which I have been called as an Oracle.
In all directions is the One Source. We are centered in Eden, encompassed by immaculate creation- both seen and invisible to our eyes. From all sides come blessings and riches, and also comes danger. Turn always toward the season of God’s blessings, and stand strong when illusion is present. It will present as a great tempest. When this comes, keep your gaze fixed on the other side.
The powerful sun arises. It is illuminating. It is light. The day is coming. The terrors of the night are no longer. Throw open the windows of your soul and see the majesty of Eden. See, and feel, the brilliant rays of yellow and gold as they crown the splendor of all life. Yet the sun can scorch and burn like fire. And beware the bitterness of the wind that comes this way. Prepare yourself, be watchful, and pray.
The Prayer. “By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?” Job 38:24 KJVA
The Prayer. “Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east:” Ezekiel 43:1 KJVA
The Prayer. “And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the Lord brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.” Exodus 10:13 KJVA
The Prayer. “Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas.” Ezekiel 27:26 KJVA
The Prayer. “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:27 KJVA
The Queen of the South reigns over all. She brings to life the gifts of paradise. All flourish under her watchful spell. She knows all things and sets all things right. But beware her wrath, as that of the Dakini. She holds the seat of power. She rules with warmth and swiftness. She creates with nurturing gentleness. Yet she destroys with quakings and fire. She is Gaia and The Tara. She is the mother of form. None can live without her.
The Prayer. “Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.” Job 37:9 KJVA
The Prayer. “The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.” Ecclesiastes 1:6 KJVA
The Prayer. “And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house.”Ezekiel 40:45 KJVA
The Prayer. “He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind.” Psalm 78:26 KJVA
The Prayer. “The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.” Luke 11:31 KJVA
The world is aflame, even the sea. Darkness comes. What does it bring? For some it is respite, peace, and serenity. But for others, the torment of night releases the shadows within our souls. It is a time for evil, and a time for death. I watch as the light is fading. The day slips away, never to return. I reach out to grasp what remains, and it dissolves from my sight. I am alone, in darkness, and afraid.
The Prayer. “And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.” Luke 12:54 KJVA
Look to the North Star. Follow and see where it leads. There is where you will find the Messiah, the One of the prophecies. The Christ Consciousness calls as a voice from the heavens. This is The Light humanity seeks. Is He the star? As I follow, the star continues to elude me. As I continue, ice seeps into my bones. I trudge through dreary darkness. Yet I still cannot overtake the star. As I travel, I cross into lands I do not know. My soul is weary, my limbs are aching. Still is the star suspended there. It appears now as a glowing and golden crucifix. Surely He is there! But how far must I go? Will I ever reach it?
The Prayer. “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” John 6:35 KJVA
The Prayer. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 KJVA
The Prayer. “The noise of the thunder maketh the earth to tremble: so doth the northern storm and the whirlwind: as birds flying he scattereth the snow, and the falling down thereof is as the lighting of grasshoppers:” Ecclesiasticus 43:17 KJVA
“There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory.”1 Corinthians 15:41 KJVA
The Prayer. “When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.” Matthew 2:10 KJVA
I have come full circle. I am encompassed by the great gurus. At the cardinals are The Four, and at the ordinals are the eagle, the ox, the lion, and Man. These remain wherever I go. To all corners of the earth and back, I see The Garden. I am home.
The Prayer. “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.” Psalm 75:6 KJVA
“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12 KJVA
