Currie Circadian 1313: Lead the Day

Beginnings, turning corners, accomplishing

Challenges are all around.  Life in a robust industry is one of constant motion.  I hear leaders use phrases like: “I’m constantly putting out fires”.  And, especially when beginning a new project or initiative, conflicts can arise.  Can we ever get ahead of it?

In the area of time management, planning time is key.  So many leaders feel that “planning” is not “doing”.  Yes, it is.  When we have a comprehensive plan in place, things go smoothly.  Plans not only keep us on track, they help us to anticipate issues that may arise.  Then we create preemptive strategies to manage these issues.   And thus, we run effective interference based on potential plays we have reviewed in advance.  We meet the challenges head on, because we have identified them.  We remain on an even keel.
